Angie, a bigorexic bodybuilder at the end of her career, discovers an unusual growth in her back. While consulting the doctor's office, she is told that she will have to cut her lifestyle habits in order not to deteriorate her case. Angie takes a disturbing look at body obsession, while exploring narcissism and insatiability.

Like Angie, my excessive impulsiveness stems from the fact that I have difficulty managing my emotions. I got the idea for this film when I had just arrived in the Magdalen Islands (Canada, Québec). I'd booked a one-way plane ticket and went on this trip for no obvious reason. For one of the few times in my life, I was alone, confined, face to face with myself, and I had to deal with the boredom by repressing my emotions on a blank page. Writing about myself is definitely a difficult thing to do, so I imagined a character struggling with a problem of self-excess. In order to transcribe what I was experiencing inside myself, I imagined a character who from the outside appears strong and excessively in control, while inside it's quite the opposite. All it takes is for something unexpected to inadvertently happen, and his whole world falls apart. With the ocean on the horizon and the waves breaking on the shore late at night, I thought of Kafka's SILENCE OF THE SIRENS. A text that has always fascinated me. In this short story, the mermaids torture Ulysses with their silence instead of singing. So I decided to portray the character of Angie as a modern-day siren, one who didn't have to justify herself to others, but only to herself. A strong woman, but who lost her way along the way, a bit like Ulysses when you think about it. After that, the story kind of wrote itself. Our character, who represents the dichotomy between harmony and chaos, is faced with the daunting task of breaking away from everything she knows, but the further the story progresses, the more she loses control of her own identity until it's too late.
