As consumers, we create strong emotional ties with objects, wether it be a family jewel passed down by generations, a new bicycle, a favourite mug, etc. I felt it would be interesting to tell a story of a miscellaneous object developing similar feelings of affection towards a human before getting thrown out with the goal of upgrading to something ‘better’. During a warm summer day in my boiling Montreal apartment, I felt like my small table fan could be a perfect protagonist for such a story.
