

Stuck in a depressing and mind numbing routine, Pierre decides to trade the sweaty atmosphere of the factory for the conditioned air of a hotel room. Locked up with three other tenants in a dreary and dim-lighted suite, he is forced into an idle and aimless lifestyle, no more fruitful than the mindless hustle and bustle he left behind — that is, until this oppressive dullness gives birth to an idea…

Romain F. Dubois is a Montréal-based filmmaker. His work, noted for its singularity and poetry, explores love, marginality, and mystery. After a background in animation, drawing, and music videos, his first solo short SKINNY BOOTS is selected at Semaine de la Critique in 2026.

Maxime Genois is a director and an actor. Graduated from the Conservatoire of dramatic arts of Montreal, he directed his third short film TODAY IS SUNDAY, TOMORROW WE DIE. As a director, he collaborated with the Opéra de Montréal and the National art Center of Canada. He is also a stage and cinema actor. He has worked with Denis Marleau, Catherine Vidal, Claude Poissant, Jonathan Beaulieu-Cyr, Xavier Dolan and Sophie Deraspe.
